Terms of Service
Welcome to Fair Trade Community, an online community that allows people, organisations and businesses to collaborate and share information about Fair Trade. The goal is to make the world around Fair Trade more open and transparent as well as spreading information and knowledge about how we can help with small everyday actions.
Fair Trade Community is a set of services and a network of websites with the same purpose. These terms and conditions are valid for the main website, www.fairtradecommunity.com, as well as our other websites.
By using one of Fair Trade Community's Websites you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Here is the basic idea:
- Don't violate anyone's intellectual property and post anyone else's copyrighted or confidential material you don't have permission to use.
- Don't use the Website for negative purposes, such as slander or abuse of any individual, group, or company, including reasons based on environmental beliefs, religious, racial or political.
- Don't post anything vulgar, inflammatory, obscene, demeaning, violent, pornographic, etc.
- Don't post spam.
- Too many metalinks and tags are not accepted. If you try to boost your SEO, that's an abuse of the system.
- Don't post just to sell something. Sure, talk up your project, but don't mention how to buy it every single time.
- Don't launch into personal attacks. You're not going to agree with everyone, but name-calling will just cause trouble and will be regarded as flaming behaviour.
- Tone down the foul language. You can say what you need to say without relying on cursing. In fact, your writing will be regarded as that much more creative.
Fair Trade Community is providing a framework for discussion and user generated information to expand the knowledge base of Fair Trade information. Please note that articles, as well as any other user content on our Websites (such as blogs, directory content, forums, comments, etc.); do not reflect the views or endorsements of the Fair Trade Community, its staff, or its members. We recognize there may be inaccurate information reflected in our Websites and that users should understand that something that appears on Fair Trade Community's Websites does not mean the Fair Trade Community has vetted or endorsed that content.
Fair Trade Community reserves the right to take down anything you post on its Websites, for these or other reasons. If you don't agree to these terms, don't use our Websites. Violation of the terms in this document will result in the removal of the content and a warning from the Website's administrators. A second violation will result in the removal of your user account.
